Cool Machines Talk
A fridge that talks to your washing machine and a television that instructs your dish washer. Is that cool?
But the question is: what’s the point?
Let’s say you are sitting on your sofa in your living room and you want to turn on your washing machine. Yes, that’s how lazy people nowadays. All you need to do is send a message to the washing machine to turn itself on. If that doesn’t work for whatever reason, you can ask for help.
Just send the message to your fridge to transmit the order to the washing machine. Getting excited? But you need to have the right technology from CeBIT according to Christian Prause, a developer of the yet-to-be-finalised Hydra software.
Prause said vacationers too need not panic if they realise they leave home in haste. “Imagine you are 200km away, on holiday, and you realised you have forgotten to close your curtains.” Not to worry. Just send a quick text message to your curtain remote control. If that doesn’t work, then get your television or radio to lend a hand.
Now, that’s super cool!
The Hydra project is financially supported by the European Union. Hydra can really saves you time, energy and hassle.
With a bit of luck, this system could perhaps eventually appear in our local shops. Best of hope from cool stuff online.
